This option includes university/college information and subject choice advice.

The session will involve the following:

The individual career counselling sessions Iqhikiza Consulting offers are done in a pleasant and relaxed environment, where the student and his or her parents/guardians can feel completely at ease. The session is structured as a casual yet professional chat over a cup of coffee or tea, where we gather information on the history of the student and/or his or her parents/guardians. During the session, we also address any immediate needs or concerns that the individuals involved may have.

Duration of the sessions:

The Consultant is typically able to cover all immediate issues within an hour session, depending on the needs of the student.

Rates:

Each individual 60-minute consultation (that includes tertiary study information and narrative career counselling) will cost R500.

Please note:

No assessments are conducted during a standard consultation. Should you wish to book an assessment package following your consultation, the cost of your initial consultation will be subtracted from your assessment package cost.

Psychometric Test

Individual Psychometric Assessments Packages: While many schools, universities and even other career counselling professionals rely solely on aptitude assessments to assist with career decisions, Iqhikiza Consulting believes that gaining an idea of the "bigger picture" in terms of who the student is, it's essential. For this reason, we have structured several assessment packages that aim to tailor the assessment process to the individual needs of the student.

All packages below include the following:

Pre-assessment consultation on the day of assessments.

Narrative career counselling process.

All assessments, as specified.

Comprehensive, written feedback report (available digitally on request).

A 45-minute feedback consultation with parents/guardians following assessments.

Junior Packages:

Grade 8 & 9 Grade 8 Early Bird Package: This package includes both aptitude and interest assessments, and each appointment lasts approximately 3 and a half hours.

Cost:

R1200 Grade 9 Subject Choice Package (Standard): This package includes personality, interests and values assessments, and each appointment lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours.

Cost- R1850 Grade 9 Subject Choice Package (Extended): This package includes aptitude, personality, interests and values assessments. Because this is an extended package, the consultation can be split over two days, with each day session having an approximate duration of 2 to 3 hours. The consultation can also be completed in one day, with the entire session having a total duration of 6 hours (including a 1-hour break). Cost - R2500
